Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I have a new puppy and would like some
one to pop in to break up its day.
A: We offer puppy visits to not only check on
your puppy and give it some play time but also we can, if required, give
it its lunch time feed. We will also clean up any accidents and
replace any puppy training pads, if needed.
Q: I'd like you to walk my dog/s, what happens next?
A: We will arrange a first meeting with you and your
dog/s. We like to get to know you and understand your dogs walking
requirements. We ask about your dogs medical history and emperament
then we will assess which type of walk will best suit your
dog. We will need
a spare key and a towel and a hose is also useful! so we can leave your dog as clean as possible
after its walk. Walks can last from about an hour up to two hours with
no additional charge.
Q: Where will my dog be walked?
A: This will be assessed during the first visit and advice may
be given on alternative walks that you may not know in
the area. If your dog needs to be taken to the start of the walk by car we offer a good size vehicle with secure harnesses
and crates for added
safety. We always walk as much as possible where there is no
traffic and where the dog/s will experiance as much excersise as
possible ie. fields, beach or woods. When dogs are walked in packs
they use up far more energy than loan walking and they have a far
happier walk.
Our favourite walks take place at:
- Hook with Warsash
- Warsash Beach
- Whiteley Pastures
- Holly Hill
- Chilling
- Botley Woods
- Hundred Acre Woods
- The Deviation Line
- Strawberry Fields
- Brownwich
- Hill Head
- Titchfield Canal
Q: What happens at the end of the walk?
A: All dogs are offered water at the end of each walk (and of
course during the walk in hot
weather). We also aim to return your dog cleaned and dried off, all we ask is for a
towel to be supplied and a hose to be available in the garden for this,
if at all possible - your dog may well get very muddy in the wet
climate. If you
require your dog to be fed or you have any other requirements these can be
discussed and arranged. All faeces will be disposed of in a
council dog bin.
Q: Does my dog have to stay on a lead?
A: No, we always try to walk in safe secluded areas away from
any traffic. Due to our public liability insurance requirement, all we
ask is that you sign an "off the lead" consent form.
Q: How often do I have to use your dog
walking service?
A: We offer a flexible daily or occasional service
which is totally up to you - as long as we have availability!
Q: Do you offer home boarding for dogs?
A: Yes we do offer
home boarding
for the dogs that we have on our books that we walk either on a daily
basis or ad hoc basis.
Dogs that come to stay are looked after
as if they were our own, we do
not use outside kennels or runs.
Having registered and been approved by Fareham Borough Council, we have
demonstrated and achieved the
strict criteria set out by them and
are licensed to take up to two dogs from the same home.
Dogs will be walked at least once a day and will enjoy play time at home and in the enclosed garden. You can bring your dogs bowls/bedding (no whicker beds please) and favorite toys to make them feel more comfortable while they are with us but we do have plenty of dog beds and lots of toys available too. We are happy to send you texts or emails on how your dog is enjoying his stay with us whilst on holiday. We know you worry but your dog wont!
You will need to supply us with your up to date vaccination card, micro chip number and your vet’s information. Our dogs are fully vaccinated and have also had their annual Kennel Cough vaccination. We do insist that you bring all the relevant foods/treats that your dog normally eats and all dogs need to have been wormed and had flea treatment before their arrival.
Q: My dog requires medication while I am away, are you able
to administer this?
A: Yes, so long as full dosage instructions are
given.
Q: What happens if my dog is unwell while
boarding in your care?
A: During our initial meeting emergency contacts and vet
details are taken so that should anything happen the right people may be
contacted and the correct treatment is given to your dog. We
will also ask you to sign a consent form indicating that you are happy
to pay for any treatment on your return but rest assured, you will be
kept informed at all times.
Q: What areas do you cover for dog
walking or puppy visits.
A: The following areas are covered for dog walking and puppy
visits - Titchfield, Titchfield Common, Warsash, Titchfield Park,
Fareham, Locks Heath, Whiteley and Hook with Warsash.
Q: What service do you offer for small animal?:
Your rabbits and guinea pigs can stay at our home. All rabbits
must have an up to date vaccination card with Viral Haemorrhagic disease
(VHD) and Myxomatosis vaccinations. We have two apartments which sit in
the shade of our home and they have access to outdoor runs. If your
rabbit or guinea pig is used to living indoors apartments can be moved
in to our shed for a warmer environment. We can send you text
messages, free of charge, to keep you updated on how your animal is,

of which is included in the boarding price.
